IT Consultant - Technical Support

Status - Part Time/Full Time - Contract

The qualified candidate will represent Adroit Networks, LLC in the field as a Support professional to our medical, professional services and general industry clients. This candidate will be responsible for the design, integration and upgrade of existing customer network infrastructures and nurture that relationship through continued support. Other responsibilities include serving as an escalation point, laboratory work testing new technologies and procedures, preparing servers and workstations for deployment and regular administration of customer networks. This candidate must be 18 years or older, a legal resident of the United States, posses a valid drivers license, posses the ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing. The candidate must also posses the skills and requirements outlined below and be willing to submit to a background check.

Qualifications:

  • Windows NT, 2000, XP Workstation implementation, administration and troubleshooting
  • Windows 2000, 2003 Server implementation, administration and troubleshooting. This includes all underlying services such as DHCP, DNS, IIS, IAS (RADIUS), WSUS
  • Windows Small Business Server 2000/2003 (w/ ISA Server)
  • Active Directory design, implementation, troubleshooting and administration
  • Citrix MetaFrame server and MS Terminal Server design, implementation and support in a thin client environment
  • Microsoft Office 2000, 2003 suite of applications
  • PC hardware maintenance, repair and troubleshooting
  • Intimate knowledge of network switching, routing and firewall concepts
  • Proven LAN / WAN troubleshooting skills
  • Local travel required.
  • Flexibility for ad-hoc on-site support calls.

Requirements:

  • 3 - 5 Years related experience in the Information Technology field
  • MCSE/MCSA 2003 certification, or 5 years equivalent experience necessary
  • CCNA certification desired
  • Experience with wireless, mobility, Exchange, a plus.
  • Excellent problem solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Stong customer focus.
  • On-Call rotation availability
  • BS/CS Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent.
